Each year, Manu Amici hosts a Mentorship Reception for residents and fellows at the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) Annual Meeting. It’s a free, casual evening where residents and fellows can ask about fellowships, the job search, and transitioning into practice — hosted by a group with a genuine mix of practice types, from small and large private practices to employed/foundation jobs and academic positions.

Reception Agenda
| 4:00 – 4:15 PM | Formal introduction to the hand club and goals for the meeting. |
| 4:15 – 4:30 PM | Introduction of our sponsor, TriMed, with upcoming meetings, educational events, and current product news. |
| 4:30 – 5:00 PM | Small group discussions with designated members, covering job search, preparation for early practice, starting a hand club, practice management, and hardware selection. |
| 5:00 – 6:00 PM | Social hour, continuing the group discussions with time to socialize. |
About the Reception
Manu Amici was established in 2016 as a hand club among friends. The club now has 15 members — nearly all finished fellowship in 2016, completed their oral boards in July 2018, and are now in their 10th year in practice. The group focuses on mentorship, volunteerism, and advancing the field of hand surgery through collaboration.
This will be our 11th annual mentorship reception. We look forward to seeing you in Boston!
